Hungarian Parliament Building edit

The Hungarian Parliament Building (Hungarian: Országház, pronounced [ˈorsaːghaːz], which translates to House of the Country or House of the Nation), also known as the Parliament of Budapest after its location, is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination in Budapest. It is situated in Kossuth Square, in the Pest side of the city and on the banks of the Danube. It is currently the largest building in Hungary. It was designed by Hungarian architect Imre Steindl in neo-Gothic style and opened in 1902.

  • impresionante edificio arquitectonicamente, inmenso. el recorrido de la visita guiada es demasiado corto. hay que ir con la cita ya concertada.

  • I arrivred expecting to pay an admission fee. I was asked if I had my passport and because I had and belonged to the EU I was given free admission. A lot of people want to do this tour and they take limited numbers on each tour - so be there early. The building is really impressive from the outside. The inside is magnificent. The guide was both friendly and knowledgeable. She was happy to answer questions. The tour is only about 30 minutes long but it is really worthwhile.

  • Die Führung ist zwar nicht sehr hilfreich, dafür bekommt man aber ein imposantes Bauwerk geboten.
