  • This is where the pope gives his sermons, and the art is absolutely beautiful.Because of the art, it's a moving place whether or not you are religious.

  • You don't have to be religious to be amazed by the incredible architecture and artwork found in St. Peter's Basilica. One of the most soothing silences you'll ever hear.

Tip! When you speak German you should go on the left side of the square next to the bell tower where the Swiss Guards stand - Ask them where the "Deutsche Friedhof" is. This noramally grants you free entrance =)

It's an amazing feeling when you are, in the main square, in one of the smallest countries in the world, and suddenly you see the Peter's Basilica in front of you.

If you want to go up to the Dome you should bring enough time and you should definitely have a head for sight and don't fear narrow and sloping stairs!

It's unbelievable! The square itself impresses by its size as well as by the interplay of geometric shapes. A must see!

St Peter's Basilica is an allegory of the catholic Church – as it is the largest basilica in the world (193 m long, 120 m high). It was built on the grave of St Peter the apostle.
