  • Mein Lieblingsgebäude in Rom.

Tolle Akustik!

  • This temple is beautiful, but like many things in Rome, it's smaller than I expected. The interiors are dark and stay cool on hot days.

  • The Pantheon - once the site for royal funerary processions in Roman times - is impressively beautiful, and situated in a lively square, just right for people-watching.

It’s a concentrate of the Vitruvian architecture. The most fascinating thing is the cupola made of lime concrete. Very close to Pantheon is the church Of S. Maria sopra Minerva, the only gothic Church in Rome were you can find amazing art works.

Don’t miss the rose rain. Every year on the Whit Sunny, from the Forum to the cupola are spread away thousands of rose petals. Don’t get there later then 10.15 am otherwise you can’t get in anymore.

The Pantheon is just fascinating! When you slowly enter it, an enormous dome uncloses over your head - beautiful!

  • Unfortunately the Pantheon was being repaired when I visited so from the outside it wasn't much to look at. Inside it is really great though and the hole in the roof creates a crazy viewing for anyone visiting whilst there is rain.

Fascinating building, the best point in the building is the focal point! And the best thing is that you don't pay an entrance fee!

If you stand under the dome, you can hardly believe that itnwas built 2000 years ago as everything is still well preserved..

The Pantheon may not look fancy from the outside but you can already see that it's huge. When you are inside you get a real feeling of how big it is and the dome is amazing.

  • The structure is huge: it is constituted by a cylindric wall that gets thinner as it raises (three different thicknesses are visible also from outside as the walls reaches the dome), and the dome has been built as half of a perfect sphere. Backside of the Pantheon is constituted by a pushing structure that is part of an older construction.
